Abstract

The use of high doses of inorganic fertilizers does not increase shallot productivity. This can be seen from the amount of productivity in Riau Province, Indonesia, which only reached 3-5 tons.ha-1 in 2015-2019. A cause of low shallot productivity is the continuous use of inorganic fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to determine the best combination of biological organic fertilizers for reducing inorganic fertilizers in shallots. The study used a non-factorial, completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments used were as follows: 100% NPK + petroganic fertilizer, 100% NPK fertilizer + sludge compost, 75% NPK fertilizer + sludge compost, 75% NPK fertilizer + sludge compost + biofertilizer, 50% NPK fertilizer + sludge compost + biofertilizer, 25% NPK fertilizer + sludge compost + biofertilizer. Based on the number of treatments, 24 experimental units were produced. Each experimental unit consisted of 16 plants, and 4 plants were sample plants that were randomly determined, so that 480 plant populations were obtained. The parameters observed were number of leaves, plant height, tuber diameter, and plantation wet and dry weights. From the research results, it can be concluded that the best combinations are 25% NPK fertilizer with sludge compost + biofertilizer to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers by 75% and 50% NPK fertilizer with sludge compost + biofertilizer to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers by up to 50%.
