Nongye Jixie Xuebao/Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery is an international, scientific peer-reviewed open-access journal published online monthly, free for readers, with article processing charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.

Nongye Jixie Xuebao/Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery is a comprehensive academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Science, Chemical Abstracts, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts and other internationally renowned search institutions.

The Journal represents and reflects the latest research results and academic progress in the agricultural and agricultural engineering disciplines and is regarded as an authoritative publication by scientific and technological workers in the agricultural industry.

Nongye Jixie Xuebao/Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery was founded in 1957 and is publicly distributed at China and abroad. It has a major influence on the global agricultural industry and features exchange or distribution relationships with more than 30 countries and regions. It has won many awards from the Ministry of Machinery and the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. In 1997, it was awarded second prize was awarded second prize as an excellent journal by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. In addition, for several consecutive years the journal was awarded special funding from the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (“Selecting the best and supporting basic and high-tech academic journals"). In 2001, the journal was included in the "Chinese Periodicals Phalanx" as a double-effect journal. It is the statistical source journal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' "Chinese Science Citation Index" and its database, and it is among the first batch of journals included in the "Abstracts of Chinese Academic Journals." The authoritative search publication "Chinese Agricultural Engineering Abstracts" lists Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery as its preferred journal. In the "Overview of Chinese Core Journals" published by Peking University Press, it is rated as one of the best agricultural engineering core journals. In addition, the journal was included in the full text of the "China Journals Network," "China Academic Journals" and the "Wanfang Data Network Center."

Nongye Jixie Xuebao/Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery publishes various engineering technology research results serving agriculture, including agricultural engineering and mechanical engineering related to agricultural engineering.

The journal is focused on publishing papers on agricultural machinery and intelligent agricultural equipment, biological environmental engineering, agricultural information technology, agricultural water and soil engineering, biomass energy, agricultural and sideline products and food science.

Over the years, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery has formed its own journal style, and it has consistently implemented its mission and editorial policy. The scope of the topic selection in the journal is in line with the academic research direction in the field of agricultural engineering.

The research results not only provide theoretical depth and innovation but can also be applied to production practices. At the same time, they highlight the development of new disciplines and marginal disciplines. The journal strictly adheres to a three-instance system and relies on experts, scholars and editorial committees. To date, the journal has been successively included in authoritative databases, such as "Overview of Key Items of Chinese Core Journals," "Catalogue of Core Journals of Chinese Science and Technology," EI Compendex (Core Edition), Scopus, CA, CSA, CAB Extracts, and CSCD. The journal was listed as one of the “Top 100 Newspapers” by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television in 2015. In 2020, it was selected as a T1-level journal in the “Hierarchical Catalogue of High-quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Field of Agriculture and Forestry of the China Association for Science and Technology.” It has been ranked among the “One Hundred Outstanding Chinese Academic Journals” 11 consecutive times and as one of “China's Boutique Scientific and Technological Journals” five consecutive times. It has been ranked in the Top 5% of “China's Most Internationally Influential Academic Journals” eight consecutive times and has received the “RCCSE China Authoritative Academic Journal (A+)” award six consecutive years. The journal has also been included in the Engineering Index (EI Compendex) for 12 consecutive years and has been selected as one of the “Top 100 Digital Influencers of Science and technology journals” multiple times. According to the Journal Impact Index (WJCI) report, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery ranks number 14 among China’s agricultural engineering academic journals, and it has been in the Q2 zone: Agricultural and Biological Sciences (miscellaneous) and Mechanical Engineering for nine consecutive years. Citescore Scopus is 2.9.

This journal adheres to the tenets of “double hundred” and “double-oriented” and focuses on putting social benefits first and realizing the both of social and economic benefits. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed, and a first decision is provided to authors approximately 20 days after submission. Acceptance for publication is determined in 10 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the first half of 2021).
